At "La Asomadita" we aim to transport you into the past.
We want to take you back to 1950, when the house was built.
At that time, the Agaete Valley, on the island of Gran Canaria, was (and remains) one of the most enviable spots in the world. Its inhabitants lived without haste. They spoke wisely, had tropical fruits in their diet, lay in the sun and watched the heritage of sea and mountains from their white homes with pride.
Its owner restored and redecorated the house inspired by this kind of "unhurried living", in keeping with the laws of nature, as they used to do then. For this purpose, she mixed light colours with wood, used locally quarried stone and kept the large windows present in all the rooms.
"When you first enter the house you will notice that the windows are the best pictures hanging on the walls. All the rooms offer spectacular views. On the one side, Tamadaba Nature Park, a privilege. On the other, the Atlantic."
The Agaete Valley has maintained its beauty, its contrasts and its charm over the years. It exudes harmony and peace, calm and tranquility and is a corner of the island impossible not to enjoy.
Welcome to La Asomadita.
